From here you are close to Cortina d'Ampezzo (30 km), Lake Centro Cadore (1 km, visible from the balcony) and Calalzo train station. It is the ideal base for mountain trekking, skiing, mountain biking on the Lunga Via delle Dolomiti and ski weeks in Cortina, San Vito and Auronzo. About us
🏔️ Rium is us: a family with Sicilian and Venetian roots.
Grandfather Nelso was from Sottocastello di Cadore, an Alpine soldier and forest ranger. Work brought him to Sicily, where he met grandmother Sebastiana and built his family. This house has always been our summer gathering place: mountains, silence, togetherness.
Today it's managed by our mother Luisa, who chose the name RIUM for her children Rita and Umberto. Our father Roberto handles maintenance from any distance: a true MacGyver. We children take care of communication and hospitality. The Sicilian sweets waiting for you? We ship them ourselves, directly from home.
