If you find yourself in Sappada, this place is unmissable: cheese boards and cold cuts all artisan products from their dairy. Located in Sappada Vecchia, an extraordinary village with characteristic wooden houses, one of the most charming in the Dolomites. Worth the trip just to walk through the village streets.

The hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene have been UNESCO Heritage since 2019 and can be reached in less than an hour and a half. The area is full of authentic osterias among the vineyards, perfect for tastings and cheese boards with views over the Prosecco hills. Grocery shopping
For those who want to cook at home, the Rium kitchen is fully equipped, here are the closest supermarkets with real distances from Sottocastello.
Rium has a complete kitchen with oven, gas, spacious fridge and large traditional wooden table. Cooking is a very convenient option and supermarkets are minutes away.
In high season (July-August and Christmas-New Year) the smaller restaurants fill up quickly. For Agriturismo La Pausa booking is always recommended.
Off-season some venues reduce hours or close on weekdays. Before going out, always check opening hours, especially for Chalet Lagole.
